ABOUT
After graduating from the University of Michigan with a liberal arts degree, founder and principal designer Leslie Murchie Cascino found herself obsessed with the opportunity to decorate her first apartment. Through various jobs in sales and finance, this interest in design deepened from full-time reading material to classroom studies. Upon moving to San Francisco, Leslie enrolled in the Interior Design and Interior Architecture program through the University of California Berkeley's Extension School in the Winter of 2013 and has wholeheartedly pursued her all-consuming curiosity for design ever since.
Established in 2015, the name Bonnie Wu derives from Leslie's combined Chinese and Scottish heritage, where "bonnie" (Scots) and "wu" (Cantonese) roughly translates to "beautiful home." The Scottish Terrier logo is her beloved dog Jarvis and was chosen for his distinguished silhouette and playful personality. It is her upbringing on the Connecticut coast, college and post-college years spent in the Midwest, and formal design training in the Bay Area that informs her design perspective and approach.
